Fw: paleonet Discussion: Anglo-Saxon Science versus the rest of the world

Hi again,

As a 'just in case I was understood wrongly'-note, and some short comments:

- I am happy with English as the currently dominant scientific language.

Whether most readers are happy with my Germish writing skills I do not know
:-)

But I do know several cases, where German speaking reviewers harshly
criticised the writing skills of native speakers (best Oxford English as it
was in one case, :-) )

My personal experience is that native English speaking reviewers are quite
helpful with rephrasing.
Nevertheless, the overall style will rarely be like that of a native
speaker, and less so, if You are not living in an English speaking country.

To Chris Crow:
I am with You concerning both contributions (that is, making the second
public)

To Xavier:
Hold Your temper. :-) This should be informative AND fun, at least not as
serious as You seem to take
it.

Cheers,

Niko
