I was shocked to see Stefan Bengtson's posting on paleonet concerning the difficulties Juan Carlos has experienced with Blackwells. I responded direct to Juan Carlos as soon as I read his e-mail; I did not notice that he had posted his message to paleonet! Juan Carlos's story is distressing, but it is unfortunate that he did not contact any member of the Association Council about this matter. Had he done so, it would have been resolved quickly and Juan Carlos would have received his publications promptly. I would like to reiterate Stephan's point that anyone who is having or has had difficulties in obtaining publications from Blackwells should bring it to the attention of the Association. If Blackwells are not dealing with requests for Association publications in a speedy and efficient manner, we very much want to know about it so that we can do something about it.
