The problem might be solved if these "reprint broadcasts" could be submitted as "exceptional list traffic" to the list moderators so that the reply-to header is set to the sender rather than the list. It works fine for other lists, and occurs infrequently enough here to be of little burden to the moderators, if they are in agreement (also stops this debate each time). My experience is that when I press the respond button to an e-mail received from a listserver the answer goes to the list server, if pressing the "respond to all" it ALSO goes to the individual and (unless I forget) I delete the listserver address. However, in paleonet , the message is sent only to the listserver, independent of the respond choice, so I have to copy and paste the individual address (replacing the listserver's)................
