Hmm, Not sure this is interesting to the paleonet community and ignoring Peter's notion (to answer offline) but I promise this is the last on-list mail to this string:
Cite:
"Hi Niko and others,
Many mailers will allow you to simply click on the name/address that you
wish to reply to, since e-mail addresses anywhere in the message are
recognized as "active"."
Just the two webmail clients I use (loading from Mozilla Firefox) do not have that function. Baaad luck. Don't tell me to change - they suit my needs.
Cheers,
Niko
So folks, you can do that rather than hitting the
"Reply to", and generating what is, IMHO, an unnecessary firestorm. I'll
admit that I am not terribly familiar with the variety of e-mail programs out
there since I am a Linux user. I tend to use KMail, Thunderbird, and GMail
(not on any IE browser of course), and they surely can't be that much more
advanced than Windows and Mac mailers (just being funny, the latter two are
multi-platform; if you have no sense of humour, reply to me offlist).
And btw, broadcasting reprints, and even preprints, is standard productive
practice in other fine scientific disciplines. They seem to be coping.
