NOAA has satellite imagery of areas affected by hurricane Katrina on their website now.

Displaced college students are generously being taken in by schools across the U.S., in some cases waiving academic records or tuition. If you are a displaced student, the best advice is to contact a college or university near your home or in your area of specialization without delay, so as to continue your education without interruption.
