Whatever branch of palaeontology you are into, scanning through this list you will quickly come across the names of people who are leaders in their field, not simply established researchers. ISI accreditation takes a few years for a journal to obtain, but if that is something that concerns you, bear in mind this hypothetical scenario: you publish today in a journal that does not yet have accreditation; a year or two down the line it is accredited. To all intents and purposes, when it comes to a future assessment of your publication, its in an ISI journal. And compare the time between submission and publication of papers in Palaeontologia Electronica (4-8 months for the last issue for example), with that of a typical paper based journal.
