paleonet IPA Directory of Paleontologists of the World

Dear Paleontologists of the World:

Since 2001 the IPA has published a free online world directory of
paleontologists at its website: [http://ipa.geo.ukans.edu/] .

The site is immensely popular, and over 1700 paleontologists have already
entered their data. If you have not yet done so, please visit the site and
follow the instructions to enter your information online.

If you entered your data previously, please visit the site briefly to
verify that everything is correct. If an update is necessary, please
complete the form fully and SELECT THE UPDATE BUTTON.

Also on the IPA site you will find the Directory of Fossil Collections of
the World and the PaleoLink Database. This would be a good time to update
your entries to these resources, as well.

Now under development is a Directory of Globally Important Paleontological
Sites, intended to serve as a global resource of information concerning
threatened, endangered, and protected paleontological sites. The officers
of IPA welcome your input concerning this activity.

The IPA is grateful to the webmaster, Michael Cormack of the University of
Kansas, for maintaining these directories.

Happy Palaeontological New Year, and
Best wishes to all,

Richard J. Aldridge, President, IPA
Rosalie F. Maddocks, Secretary-General, IPA
Roger L. Kaesler, Treasurer, IPA
