paleonet Nature of Science



No geologist should be without a copy of the late Arthur N. 
Strahler's UNDERSTANDING SCIENCE.  I am not a big fan of his 
definition of theory (versus hypothesis) but there are other 
useful chapters that can easily be used in an intro-level 
course.  Can't beat an introduction to scientific method and 
reason written by a fellow geologist...
