Actually there is a serious point here (how dull; there always is, isn't there?). We discussed the inclusion of microfossils at the planning stage. Notwithstanding Norm MacLeod's point about how much an enthuiast can do in the field with a x20 hand lens, we decided that microfossils should be omitted from what is, after all, one in a series entitled 'FIELD Guides to Fossils'.
