Dear Colleagues, A geologist-photographer friend tells me that when interchanging lenses from a conventional camera to a digital camera, there is a reduction in the field of view. This means that if one wanted to photograph with a digital camera the same field of view as was captured with a 50 mm lens on a conventional camera, a 35 mm lens would be needed. Is this the observation of people on Paleonet who have interchanged lenses? The friend does not know why this difference in behaviour occurs. Does anyone have an explanation?
