Just one qualifier on the recent digital cameras discussion: The Fuji S1 Pro that Stefan mentioned does give files with 3040x2016 pixel resolution (6.1 megapixel), but does so using interpolation - its CCD has a real pixel count of only 3.4 megapixels, with an interwoven pattern across the CCD. That's why it's relatively cheap - I'm seeing it sold on the web for less than $2700. If you want real, not interpolated, pixels at this resolution, the Nikon D1X does it (3008x1960), but at twice the price, listing for about $5400.
