It's made by Silicon Film (http://www.siliconfilm.com/) and it
sounded like a great idea for those with certain models of Canon or
Nikon cameras. However, they have had production problems (by Sept
15th it was still not available), the announced pixel resolution is
very low (1280 x 1024), and the price, $649, would today give you a
good stand-alone camera with better resolution. Might be good if you
want to use your old camera for both film and digital images, but why
not double with a decent digital camera instead? I fear they are on
the losing side.
