Title: Air abrasive powders for fossil preparation
I recently acquired an old (but working) S.S. White Airbrasive unit and wonder if anyone out there knows of a vendor for dolomite abrasive powder.
The S.S. White corporation used to sell a “#2 Dolomite” powder, but no longer does (they still market sodium bicarbonate, aluminum oxide, and other powders). I know there are some other alternatives but the dolomite seems to be superior in several ways (it provides a nice balance between abrasion power without clumping).
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Chris
