Title:
I agree with Chris...(see 'my two cents' below...')
I generally try to avoid posting on the subject of
creationsim/ I.D., but feel that this discussion has raised
an interesting, broader point, not about the Project
Pterosaur site, but about us in general...
...If the many eminent palaeonetters who have posted
cannot agree whether this is satire or not, how is the
general public to distinguish an elaborate piece of fun from
a site with real, strong convictions about religion?
Internet users who are firmly in the 'evolutionary' school,
and equally those persons in the 'intelligent
design/creationism' school, will take their own view, but
what of members of the general who may be 'on the
fence'?
Whether the site is genuine or not, it provides many links
to others with convincing 'evidence' for creationist theory,
for those who don't know better, or who want to believe it.
For my two cents, I think that a site that has pdf.
downloads of cut-out-and-make crucifixion nails printed
with 'Sorry, Jesus', and a childrens' character
named
'Habu' (an Indian elephant) who, when asked 'How many
gods do you have', answers 'I don't know, I lost count',
must have its tongue at least partly in its cheek ;o)

Also, a quick google search reveals that the site has
moved several times, being in trouble with its site hosting
companies for its content...not much Christian charity
there!
Enjoy the site, for whatever you believe it to be...
