A lot of links on freshwater mollusks, including a listserver (Unio) and an extensive searchable online bibliography, can be found at http://www.inhs.uiuc.edu/cbd/collections/mollusk/molluskintro.html Paleontological and gastropod data are not the strongest points of the bibliography, as it grew out of work on modern unionoid bivalves, but it's a good place to start. Given a general locality, I could probably provide some ideas on references that might not entirely overlap with it.
