I don't know about gastropods but I do know a little about freshwater. 
I worked for many years with Shi Kuei Wu at the University of Colorado. 
We are both retired now but you could probably reach him through the 
University of Colorado Museum. He knows freshwater gastropods, extant 
and fossil, from several areas. Where are your gastropods from. They 
should be somewhat easy to identify since they are so recent. Another 
person at the C.U. Museum who could help would be Emmett Evanoff. He 
has worked on Quaternary and Tertiary gastropods in North America. I do 
not have their emails but you should be able to find them on the C.U. 
website. Both are with the C.U. Museum
