paleonet Mazon Creek (again)

All:
I am planning to follow-up on the status of Mazon Creek.  I am taking multiple approaches.  As part of this, I would like to know about fossil collecting localities on public lands; in particular sites that allow/encourage children and groups to come in and collect.  I want to be able argue both educational and economic benefits of maintaining Mazon Creek as an active site.  In the near future I will probably be soliciting letters of support. - Roy
