A suggestion- There is a wonderful little book called Dictionary of Word Roots and Combining Forms by Donald J. Borror This is an invaluable reference to the meaning of Latin and Greek words commonly encountered in biology. Another good source is: A Source-Book of Biological Names and Terms by Edmund C. Jaeger If I recall, both of these discuss pronunciation (I'm not in my office at the moment). -Roy Plotnick Roy E.
