paleonet Owen's Odontography

Could somebody enlighten me on the following:

Richard Owen's "Odontography" was published in two volumes (1. text, 2. 
atlas), both of which give as year(s) of publication "1840-1845". In 1842 
(Trans. Geol. Soc. Lond. 2, 6, p. 510) Owen refers to plates in his 
"Odontography".

Are there several editions of the "Odontography" (the copy I have on loan 
does not indicate any earlier edition)? Or were only parts of it published 
prior to 1845?
