Greetings! Many of you may already be aware of the fact that the 2002 joint meetings of the Society for the Study of Evolution (SSE) and the Society of Systematic Biologists (SSB) will be held June 28 through July 2 in Urbana, Illinois, and will be hosted by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am in the Paleo research lab here in the Geology department of the University. We were wondering how many people doing paleontology/paleobiology/invertebrate-vertebrate evolution would be attending the meeting? If there were enough interest, I was thinking that we could either 1. gather a reception or social event 2. try to convince the conference organizers to develop a session for systematic paleontology None of these ideas have necesarily been brought to the conference organizer's attention, but I wanted an idea of how much interest there would be before I did so. Please email me and let me know! thanks! Chris ************************************************** Chris Mah Dept. of Geology, University of Illinois 245 NHB, 1301 W.
