Members of the PaleoNet: Soon, I will have the opportunity to explain dating techniques for things paleontological to a group of high school teachers representing many different disciplines. I should hope that someone could take a moment to explain to me *in the most basic lay terms* so that I can convey to this group *in the most basic lay terms* the three or four most reliable dating techniques.
