In Response to Norm MacLeod's reply to David Kohl's question on the NAPC. The NAPC is not the only regularly-scheduled meeting that is devoted to palaeontology - there is also the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology meetings which are held annually (usually in the USA, but have been in Canada and Mexico) during October. This year's meeting will be at the American Museum of Natural History, New York - October 16-19. Information can be obtained from the committee: Mark Norell Email Norell@amnh.org or Richard Tedford Email Tedford @amnh.org There will be a Turtle Symposium before hand which is being organised by Gene Gaffney Email esg@amnh.org Also, there will be a symposium on Pterosaurs (best to contact Mark Norell regarding this) Just before the 6-NAPC this year the Society of Avian Palaeontology and Evolution (SAPE) will be holding their meeting at the Smithsonian June 3-7. The SAPE hold their meetings every 4 years and is devoted to birds. This year's meeting is being organised by Storrs Olsen and his team.
