An interdisciplinary Junior Research Fellowship is available at the Natural History Museum for a qualified applicant in the field of Palaeontology, Mineralogy and Geology. This is a grant-supported position that will entail investigations into the distinctive proximal marine communities surrounding fossil hydrothermal sea-floor vents in order to better understand the chemical and biotic characteristics of this habitat. The successful applicant will also be expected to help prepare additional grant proposals on this topic. Funding is currently available for 18 months with money provided for field work. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a palaeontologically-related field.
