Rex Doescher writes that he's swamped with requests for his e-mail list and asks me to remind all of you that his list is available in the PaleoNet anonymous ftp site. Moreover, Rex's list is a bit large and sending it to you via e-mail might cause problems with e-mail programs that impose a limit on the size of e-mail messages (that is to say the vast majority of extant e-mail software). So, to save Rex the trouble of responding to each of your requests individually (and allow him the time he needs to update his list and do his "other job" at the Smithsonian) both he and I encourage you to use the publically available copy in the PaleoNet ftp site. That's what it's there for. The best way to download the list is via the NCSA program Telnet (available for both Mac & DOS platforms) or with a dedicated ftp program like Fetch or Xferit (both Mac). Consult your local network administrator for use of these programs or, if you're having problems, post them to PaleoNet. There are lots of people out there who can help you out online.
