Hi folks, The Department of Geology at the College of William and Mary is seeking applicants for a full-time, one-semester position for spring 2003. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate courses including historical geology, environmental geology, and an introductory geology lab section. We seek a colleague eager to interact with undergraduates in an environment where teaching and research are emphasized. The Department of Geology at the College of William and Mary has five full-time faculty and a laboratory coordinator. The Geology Department is an undergraduate-only department that graduates 15-20 geology majors each year. We prefer candidates who will have PhD in hand at the time of appointment, but we will consider those nearing completion of the PhD. Applicants should send a letter of application, current c.v., statement of teaching interests, and names with contact information (including email address and telephone numbers) to: Heather Macdonald, Department of Geology, College of William and Mary, PO Box 8795, Williamsburg, VA 23187-8795. E-mail: rhmacd@wm.edu. Review begins November 5, 2002 and will continue until the position is filled. The College of William and Mary is an EEO/AA university. Thanks!
