Another contender on the Mac side is iView Multimedia (http://www.scriptsoftware.com/). Its ReadMe blurb sates that it's a "media browser that acts as a single point of reference to gather collections of images, movies, VR, animation, clip art, audio, graphic design, image, font and other files" and that's a pretty fair description. The OS9.x version is still available from a variety of shareware sites, but I note that scriptsoft has temporarily removed iView Multimedia from its current list of products. Most likely they are getting ready to release an OSX version. A shareware equivalent on the Windows (or Dark) side is ThumbsPlus (http://www.cerious.com/thumbsplus.shtml).
