Dear colleagues:
I am looking for literature
regarding the fossil annelid
mouth parts informally known as
"scolecodonts". I have
a possible scolecodont from the
Cincinnatian-aged rocks
of southern Quebec, and would like to confirm
that it is
indeed what I think it is. Are there any
important works
dealing with such elements that I should be
aware of?
Does the treatise deal with such fossils?
Reference to
papers or monographs that include extensive
figures
would be especially useful. Has anyone on
PaleoNet
worked on these fossils? Any help would be
greatly
appreciated, since this is not my usual area of
research.
Cordially,
Michel Chartier
