Reference Manager can download datasets but that is not the point. The
files I am talking about are journal format files. These files store the
information about the format of a reference list. These formats vary from
journal to journal and it is necessary to define these formats for every
single journal (as I mentioned, there are more than 100 journal format
files coming with the software, but these are predominantly medical
journals).
I think you understood me wrong. I was not talking about sharing datasets.
These are available (e.g. Georef, Biosis, Zoological Record etc.) and it is
very easy and not time consuming to capture references from these
online-databases. I am talking about the output files. It is also not
possible to use these output files from other literatur databases. They
have to be in Reference Manager style.
