Rob Guralnick's investigations of the lingering ListProc/sever problems in
Berkeley has turned up a bug (or is that a feature) in the new Sun
operating system. This "convention" interacts with the ListProc software
and disrupts PaleoNet (or other Berkeley listserver) service to anyone
using the Bitnet system and/or CMS/Vax machines. My apologies to those
subscribers. Now that Rob has isolated the problem efforts can be focused
on finding a work-around. It's not just PaleoNet, all the Berkeley lists
are effected. I'll try to keep everyone updated on any changes in the
current situation.
Thanks for your patience.
