Hello, I am a board member of the Hamburg Natural History Society. We have formed to preserve the Penn Dixie quarry in Hamburg, NY. We currently own the property and are (over the next several years) working on making it into an outdoor education center and fossil preserve. One of the fund raising activities that we have started up was to reprint the Geology and Paleontology of Eighteen Mile Creek, Erie Co.,NY. written by Amadeus Grabau in 1898. This was originally released in two volumes and is still one of the best sources of information about these rock units. One was the geology/stratigraphy and the other was the fossils. We have reprinted both volumes into one softcover volume and are currently selling it for $29.95 + tax + S&H. I do not know if you are interested? I can send order forms and membership information to whomever wants it. We are a non-profit organization and would appreciate any support you might be willing to lend. There was an article about our efforts in last novembers issue of Lapidary Journal if you are interested. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please e-mail me if you would like more information. sdc -- <*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*> Scott D.
