All this talk about NBC's latest display of "tabloid science" (my word for pseudoscience because these shows present so called facts like National Enquirer and other trashy tabloids) has been quite interesting. Now I'd like to add something else to the conversation. Last Tuesday (2/27/96), PBS aired an episode of NOVA concerning alien abductions. Now before you go raising your eyebrows about NOVA going commercial, let me say this. This program, I feel, is the way hot topics like alien abductions and creationism should be dealt with on television. The program was entirely neutral, giving both sides of the arguement equal time (including Carl Sagan for the anti- side) and making no conclusions. I would like to know if anybody else in Paleonet has seen this episode and what you have to say? Eric Simpson Dept. of Geology Texas Tech University Lubbock, TX 79409 76653,1410@compuserve.com
