Maxberg Archaeopteryx

I recall hearing the that Maxberg specimen Archaeopteryx was stolen several 
years ago, and I am seeking more information about this specimen.  Can 
anyone fill me in on the details, or provide references to anything that was 
printed (newspapers or scholarly journals) about the theft?
