The Usenet newsgroup sci.bio.paleontology would also be an appropriate
place to post queries, particularly if you're concerned about annoying
anyone due to increasing traffic on mailing lists.  But my impression
of Paleonet is that everyone is welcome, amateur and professional alike,
so long as the discussion remains on topic, interesting, and relatively
well-informed.  :-)
