I appreciated comments by Paul Willis and Roger Kaesler.

Numerous religious organizations have published statements supporting
evolution.  These are included in a publication by the National Center for
Science Education entitled "Voices for Evolution", edited by Betty
McCollister.   Included are statements by Pope John Paul II and various
religious organizations and denominations (Jewish, Episcopalian,
Lutheran, Unitarian-Universalist, United Methodist, United Presbyterian).
Anyone who assumes "Christian" means "anti-evolution" needs to read
