Has the sci.geo.petroleum newsgroup in Usenet been of any use to
paleontologists working as biostratigraphers in the petroleum
industry? The emphasis of that group is supposed to be exploration,
research, and development. That might be an excellent forum in
which to foster communication, both among biostratigraphers and
with people working in other fields in the petroleum industry.
