Re: paleonet Who is Granier

Dear Paleoneters,
I shall come later with an answer to X, aka Michael Jordon, aka David Canu, ? aka Ahmed Samy (aka Bughaith Abudallah), ???? alias Mostafa M. Imam (the sole real person on the plot). I am waiting permissions from colleagues to quote some "private" messages in my reply.

In the mean time I am "sure" he will bring us more "proofs" of my so-called "forgery" ... A good scan of the plates I supposedly duplicated, a contact person in the South Africa University or in the Geological Survey of Senegal, a witness from Mars or another planet ...

I take this opportunity to tell anyone interested I can send him/her a reprint of my paper (I have more than thirty left):
Granier B. [1992].- "Les Algues et Foraminifères benthiques du Jurassique supérieur et du Crétacé inférieur du Sénégal". Journal of African Earth Sciences, Oxford, 14/2, p. 239-253, 4 fig., 5 pl.

[Total-Compagnie Française des Pétroles granted permission to publish this paper which was first issued as an Internal Report: "Révision stratigraphique du Jurassique supérieur et du Crétacé inférieur du sondage de N'Diass (DS1), Sénégal", Total-CFP Internal Report n° RL4596 (November 1989) ... this paper is a shortened version of a report I was paid for! Obviously I worked on request and under supervision, which guarantees that they knew my contribution would be/was genuine ... When I joined the Company (2 years later) I asked them permission to publish an abridged version ... as a beginner I was so pleased to introduce one new Dasyclad species and to be allowed to release some "confidential" information on a remote exotic area]

Regards,
Bruno Granier
