paleonet bone eaters

Dear Paleonetters:

I'm looking for information on or examples of organisms in the marine realm that eat bones of DEAD vertebrate carcasses (large fish, marine mammals). I believe that ichnologists call them bioeroders in general, and more specifically skeletophagos. I would appreciate if any of you could provide me with examples in modern or ancient settings, references, or any other clue.
