Xavier, Just a thought, but it might be worth noting that for many years we had "palaeo-oceanography" and its derivatives, until the streamlined word paleoceanography (or palaeoceanography) gained acceptance. For the sake of brevity, could we likewise lose an "o" to give Paleoology -- which would be pronounced "pale-oölogy"? Martin
