Palaeontology Keeper's Research Assistant Natural History Museum Based in London £21.5K - £26.0K per annum The Department of Palaeontology is seeking a research assistant specializing in palaeobiological morphometrics, systematics/taxonomy, and stratigraphy to support the Keeper of Palaeontology's research. You must have a Ph.D. or equivalent, specialist knowledge of the systematics of a fossil group, published research articles and/or presentations on morphometric topics, and a good knowledge of web-based computer programming. You should also be willing to contribute to Museum media and outreach programmes and be able to communicate scientific information to a wide audience. Relevant post-doctoral research, experience writing grant applications, teaching and outreach experience, and a collections-based research approach are all highly desirable, as are good organizational, leadership, team-working/collaborative skills, and a high degree of personal creativity. The position will be a fixed-term (three-year) appointment and subject to satisfactory six month and one-year reviews).
