POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER. The University of Kansas, in Lawrence, is seeking a
postdoctoral associate in paleobotany or closely related area.  This
position involves the study of fossil plants and/or fungi from several sites
in Antarctica. We seek a highly motivated individual capable of working both
independently and as a collaborator on these unique plants ­ someone
dedicated to the discipline, and with the capacity and desire to ultimately
develop an extramurally funded research program in the discipline.  Required
qualifications are:  1) Ph.D. in Paleobotany, Botany, Plant Biology, Plant
Sciences, Mycology or closely related area. 2) One year research experience
in analyzing anatomical and morphological features of plants or fungi. 3)
Excellent written and oral communication skills based on publications and
abstracts. 4) One year experience in digital photography and 5) Ability to
write scientific papers as evidenced by peer reviewed publications.
