paleonet NHM Research Leaders Posts

This ad is in the process of appearing in various publications (e.g.,
Nature, Science). Itıs a bit unusual so let me take a moment to explain it.
What weıre looking for here is to hire between 6 and 10 Œresearch leadersı
(= experienced and established researchers) who will work broadly to address
scientific questions of the highest importance and use the Museum's
collections in new and productive ways. What weıre not looking to do is
hire x zoologists, y botanists, or z palaeontologists. All of these could be
positions for palaeontologists if enough interesting people with compelling
visions came forward. Or none of them could be. Hence this e-mail.

If you are an experienced palaeontologist (micropalaeontologist,
invertebrate macropalaeontologist, vertebrate palaeontologist,
palaeobotanist, and/or palaeobiologist of any type) and have an interest in
working in any of the areas listed below, please consider applying. These
will be senior research positions in the NHM and there is provision to move
multi-person research groups here if appropriate (hence the lack of
specificity regarding how many posts are on offer). These posts are all a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to do something truly new in one of the
largest and best palaeontological research institutes in the world.

If you are interested, please contact me by e-mail (offline) and Iıll be
happy to forward you more information or discuss any of the post concepts
with you.

Regards.
