I see what you mean; are they saved along with the image? Or do they
disappear when you re-open it? What about when you print the image
out?

I've had similar probelms on my laptop (not with Photoshop though)
where it isn't able to refresh the screen quick enough when I'm
scrolling left or right, and I get horizontal bars of white.

But why yours are in colour is odd.

Had a chat with a Photoshop "guru" and he was stumped as well.
Suggested checking for any extra layers.
