Palaeontologia Electronica Vol. 8, No. 1 is published today, 27 May 2005 http://www.palaeo-electronica.org/ Twenty-eight original scientific articles, totalling 504 PDF print pages, describe palaeontology of China, Pakistan, North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This thematic issue is dedicated to the memory of vertebrate palaeontologist William Downs III, who died prematurely in 2002.
