Re: paleonet Intelligent Design

Title: Re: paleonet Intelligent Design

Do not you think that Religion and Science come here together with total agreement using different tools?

No.  This seems to be the thesis of The Tao of Physics and The Dancing Wu-li Masters, and maybe there is some sort of general similarity between the ideas of quantum physics and those of Eastern mysticism, but that is not what is being discussed on this thread.

The problem between creationists and paleontologists/evolutionary biologists is completely different perspectives on history.

The problem between ID folks and (some) paleontologists/evolutionary biologists is differing views about the origin of complex systems.

If one wishes to hold onto their faith, then one will be limited as to what scientific ideas one can embrace.

Frank Holterhoff has admitted that keeping a deity in the equation means putting Occam's Razor second.   Steadfast belief in a deity who has some intention toward creation is basically a pain in the neck as far as scientific inquiry goes.  The anthropocentricity of this intention means, essentially, that you already know the end of the story and you set yourself to work trying to figure how everything that came before could of led to that end.  A hopeless and pointless task.
