The article says that it was strictly a business decision; the decision-makers didn't think they would sell enough tickets to make a profit. Ostensibly this was based on some sort of market research, the validity of which would be a separate discussion. Maybe they're being disingenuous, maybe not. But the article doesn't say anything about whether these decision-makers themselves support the anti-evolution agenda, or whether their personal views on the matter influenced their decision at all. I believe that any moral human being/businessperson has an obligation not to promote or support a viewpoint they disagree with for financial gain. However, I don't believe that one has an obligation to promote or support a viewpoint they do believe in at a financial loss. They may choose to, and I would hope that many would, but I don't see any obligation there. If the prospect of financial loss is the only thing preventing those folks from booking the film, perhaps a sponsor would come forward that would guarantee against a loss. Of course, they're probably also worried about the place being firebombed if they show it.
