Hi, I have encountered the same situation and partially was my fault. Thought more expensive sometimes, I looked for more environmental alternatives to those products that do not use dangerous chemicals. Alternatively, you may order them in the country that you will be visiting. Good luck Xavier Panades I Blas, Ms Please, send letters to: 55, Marksbury Road Bedminster Bristol BS3 5JY England European Community cogombra@hotmail.com From: "resperante" <resperante@univ.llu.edu> Reply-To: paleonet@nhm.ac.uk To: <paleonet@nhm.ac.uk> Subject: paleonet Shipping/mailing supplies Date: Fri, 18 Mar 2005 14:15:41 -0800 Dear Paleonetters: The following situation you may have already encountered and figured out a solution for it. Your input is appreciated. In packing items for field work in overseas areas I realized that some items are now prohibited on airplanes, including PaleoBond adhesive, accelerator spray, and penetrant (all for fossil repair). The mail service do not take them either. The reason is because they are highly flamable. I wonder if some of you have tried to ship them to Latin American or European countries and how it works, which companies do it, and how to pack them. Appreciate your suggestions Raśl Esperante, PhD
