Re: paleonet Coprolites research opportunity

Xavier,

I am interested in the study of siderite-replaced coprolites. This
topic was explored by Seilacher (Paleobiology) and by Mustoe (GSA
Bull) recently, but there are major problems remaining. I am most
interested in the process of siderite replacement of the coprolite.
Siderite concretions seem to not retain constituents of the diet of
the animal.

I have studied the Washington State coprolite occurrence; the source
of most coprolites sold in North America.

I am interested in pursuing the environments in which coprolites are
replaced by minerals.

Do you have examples of Madagascar siderite coprolites?
