Dear friends and colleagues, Why the torrent of hateful chatter regarding "religious fundamentalism"? Is someone dragging y'all to the church/synagogue/mosque of your choice? Y'all (I use the gentle Southern plural form of you) <G> who write the hate letters, you really have no idea of what you criticize. "Fundamentalism" as I have know it for the past 50 yr. (I am a active member of an evangelical/fundamentalist congregation) is not what you envision. Please, attend a few services BEFORE you write your next hate msg. Thank You, Ted Donaho d.b.a. Precision Biostratigraphic Svs. Houston, TX PS I take no responsibility for your counterparts in "the church" who write angry editorials or pressure school boards regarding evolution, Darwin, and my 1st true love -paleontology. Actually, they are a small but vocal minority. Let's all "chill" a bit ... I believe Dr. Neil Clark is on the right track... Oh, and by the way Dr.Jere, I am proud of the small contribution I personally made (a few decades ago) towards evangelizing the Republic of Korea. We did not impose our beliefs on a single Seoul. <G> Ok now, I'll stand back watch from my fallout shelter as I get hit w/every imaginable criticism. <g> Ok, I have had my turn; I feel much better now!
