paleonet Microfossil Conference Abstract Deadline Extended

Members of the list may be interested in the announcement below concerning the upcoming “GEOLOGICAL PROBLEM SOLVING WITH MICROFOSSILS” meeting from meeting chair Thomas Demchuk.

The purpose of this international conference is to bring together a diverse array of geoscientists to showcase the problem-solving power of microfossils in a variety of geologic settings.  The conference planning committee is dedicated to facilitating a strong program that will showcase the problem-solving power of microfossils and stimulate the “cross fertilization” of ideas that results when a diverse group of scientists gather in a common venue. Papers that demonstrate new techniques or novel applications are encouraged, but there is no restriction on geologic age or geographic area.

An interesting lineup of talks is taking shape, with sessions including topics from the Holocene to the Paleozoic on problems ranging from biostratigraphic to environmental. Hope many of you can attend!

Regards,

Pete McLaughlin
