The Natural History Museum's Department of Palaeontology is seeking a Department Secretary. We are seeking an individual who will be able to join a highly interactive and efficient team providing services, support, and strategic focus for the Museum's many palaeontological activities. You should have 5 O-levels or GCSE at Grade C including English & Maths, and two years experience working in a professional office. You should also have skills in high-level note taking, Microsoft Office word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and filing. You will need to be efficient, discrete, punctual, able to multi-task and be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed. A-levels in science-related subjects, academic office experience, proofreading/editing skills, experience with desktop publishing, financial record keeping, and computer graphics, and/or a secretarial qualification are highly desirable.
